Public PreK Enrollment
In 2014, Vermont passed Act 166, also known as the Universal Pre-Kindergarten Law, which offers all 3- and 4-year olds, and 5 year-olds not yet enrolled in kindergarten, up to 10 hours a week of publicly-funded pre-kindergarten for up to 35 weeks per year. Since 2014, the number of children enrolled in public pre-K has increased by more than 2,000 .
